About the Author
Dr Girish Kamat is presently studying fellowship in hematology, at department of medical oncology and hematology, at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi. After completing MD in pathology, he completed PG Diploma in Family Medicine from CMC, Vellore. He worked as assistant professor in Pathology at Shri. B. M. Patil Medical College, Bijapur and SDM Medical College, Dharwad.
Subsequently he completed DNB in Hematology, at Sahyadri Specialty Hospital, Pune. He has several scientific publications to his credit, both in national and international journals. Apart from present book, he has published several other books such as “Review Notes for PG Medical Entrance Exams”, “PG Digest” and “Practical Manual of Hematology”.
His question bank for MD pathology, which is published in pathoindia website, is widely used by pathology postgraduate students all over India. He writes avidly in Kannada as well. Several of his articles have been published in popular Kannada dailies and periodicals. He is member of Indian Society of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, Indian Association of Pathologists and Microbiologists, and Indian Academy of Cytologists. He is founding member of Cochin Hematology Group.
